For 50 years, USAID has partnered with Indonesia to develop its human resources, build social and economic infrastructure, alleviate poverty and infectious diseases, improve food security, and improve maternal and child health. USAID has been there to provide disaster relief after earthquakes or other cataclysmic events, such as the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
